IMPORTANT HEALTH WARNING
Please remember your children will be unsettled by being out of their weekly routine. They may be overexcited, tearful, worried and their behaviour may be unusual. Please do not feel anxious if you cannot create a 'typical' learning environment or stick to a rigid routine for your child - there will be many reasons why this may be difficult at times! Find lots of time to snuggle, read stories and enjoy time to play games and get outdoors with your children. Please have a two week holiday from formal learning at Easter!
Read, read, read...
Stolen from a fellow teacher: " If you're feeling like you don't have the first idea how to teach your kid at home. Please remember that, generally speaking, the students that do best are the ones who read and were read to when they were little.
Suggested daily tasks...
Happy learning from Year One!
Can you design a spring garden? Try drawing your design out first. Will it be a fairy garden, an Easter garden, or a monster's den? Remember to sketch and shade carefully.
Can you make a model of your garden in a shoe box or tray? You could cut some grass, collect leaves and twigs or find little stones to make a path. Be as creative as you like!
Upload your fabulous garden photos to : firstname.lastname@example.org
