Our topic for this week is conservation and we will be reading some lovely stories to make us think about our environment and how to care for it.
This week our main story will be Dear Greenpeace by Simon James which is all about a girl called Emily who finds a blue whale in her pond and needs some advice on how to look after it properly. This book is actually a series of letters, so we will continue to practice our letter writing skills. We will also think about the problem of ocean pollution with a story called Somebody Swallowed Stanley by Sarah Roberts.
In our maths work this week, we will revisit counting forwards and backwards to find one more and one less. We will continue to compare numbers and amounts using >, < and = and we will use the ordinal numbers to describe the position of objects or numbers in a sequence.
