As well as enabling our pupils gain a deep understanding of the national curriculum we recognise the importance of developing their social capability, spiritual understanding and cultural awareness. We want to empower our children so that they are well-placed to thrive during the next leg of their learning journey. Our status as an attachment aware school and our increased capacity to identify and support children experiencing difficulties helps us to establish and maintain a caring and respectful climate for learning and laughing. The guide below provides more information for parents about our teaching of PHSCE.
We are currently producing some video clips to share that will help parents and carers to understand the way we teach key aspects of the curriculum. The first of these will focus on calculations in mathematics and early phonics.
